Leighton Contractors Indonesia is an operating division of Leighton
International Limited. It is an important part of a company that spans
the large area between Indonesia and the Arabian Gulf countries and
includes operations in Malaysia, Singapore and India. In line with
Leighton International Limited overall growth Strategy, Leighton
Contractors Indonesia has strongly grown its mining operations and
currently we have an immediate position requirement in the organisation.
LCI are actively recruiting for a number of positions in the Plant and
Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Field (HSE), to fulfil
positions in our expanding Mining & Civil based Projects predominantly
in Kalimantan, Indonesia. Positions currently required to be filled
are listed below :

- Plant Engineering Superintendent
- HSE Manager - Operational
- HSE Superintendent (Project & Divisional based)
- HSE Supervisor (Project based)
- HSE Officer (Project based)

Responsibilities, Required Skill and Qualifications :

Plant Engineering Superintendent
1. Ensure assets procured are well matched to the operational needs
based on tender requirements and operational adjustments.
2. Identify & assist implementing improvement initiatives required to
maximize productivity, utilization and reliability of fleets.
3. Identify & assist implementing improvement initiatives required to
minimize the whole of life cost of assets within the company.
4. Ensure assets are standardized by fleet type to maximize
engineering improvements that add value.
5. Assist in development and documentation and implementation of plant
processes, standards and procedures Assist in pre-contract/ estimating
for plant fleet and site setup.
6. S1 degree in mechanical engineering.
7. Good command of the English language (written & oral).
8. Should have a minimum of 10 years experience in maintenance management.
9. Mobile and fixed plant management on mine sites.

HSE Manager - Operational & HSE Superintendent positions
1. Possess good working knowledge & experience in developing,
implementing & managing HSE Management Systems in compliance with
Corporate & International Standards (OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001
requirements).
2. The responsibilities would involve coordinating a team of
Operational/ Project HSE personnel to effectively implement & monitor
performance against LCI HSE Management System requirements as well as
reporting to senior management on performance.
3. Review & update Project HSE Plans, Procedures, JSEA’s, conduct HSE
Audits and lead in internal incident investigations.
4. Possess formal qualifications in the OHS and or Environmental Field
(Diploma or Degree).
5. Good computer literacy skills (Good command of MS Office Applications).
6. Good command of the English language (written & oral).
7. Should have a minimum of 5 years working HSE experience within
mining, construction or heavy industry.

HSE Supervisor & Officer positions
1. Possess reasonable working knowledge & experience with implementing
& monitoring HSE Management System requirements in compliance with
Corporate & International Standards (OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001
requirements).
2. Conduct regular HSE inspections, participate on audits & incident
investigations, compile & review JSEA’s, conduct inductions &
training, and report to Project HSE Supt. and Project Managers on
performance.
3. Possess some level of formal training in the HSE field (diploma or
certificates).
4. Good basic computer literacy skills (MS Office Applications).
5. Good command of the English language (written & oral).
6. Have a minimum of 2 years working HSE experience within the mining,
construction or heavy industry.
